The Motion XT CI series uses the larger surface area of the Folded Motion XT tweeter to provide even more of the clarity, output, and efficiency that our signature FMT is famous for. MartinLogan engineers have combined this incredible tweeter with high performance woven Kevlar woofers, and a more substantial chassis to elevate the performance to the next level. With Motion XT CI, the difference is in the details.
Motion XTW6-LCR
The largest “LCR” model in the Motion XT CI series includes a unique feature that brings its performance level up even higher. In addition to the FMT XT tweeter, and dual 6.5” woven Kevlar Nomex-backed bass drivers, the XTW6-LCR has a dedicated 6.5” midrange driver that brings its acoustic performance to the same level as a traditional floor standing speaker. With a rotating tweeter housing, the XTW6-LCR can be used horizontally when needed, and is the perfect choice for systems desiring a higher level of performance without the large footprint of a tower speaker.
Motion XTW5-LCR
The smaller of the two “LCR” models in the Motion XT CI series, the XTW5-LCR functions equally well as a center, front or surround channel, or anywhere higher performance and/or a more rectangular shape is desired. A perfect complement for a flat panel TV or projector screen; the XTW5-LCR allows for flexible placement and incredible performance. Its FMT XT tweeter can be rotated to help create the sound dispersion that works best for your space.
Motion XTW6
The XTW6 takes one of the most popular styles of in-wall speaker to a new level of performance. Featuring the FMT XT and a 6.5” Kevlar woofer (with Nomex backer) the XTW6 offers incredible accuracy, clarity and more controlled dispersion. With an 80° x 30° tweeter dispersion pattern, the XTW6 focuses and directs sound into the sweet spot of the room without letting it bleed into other areas of the room. This can be highly effective, especially in rooms with open floor plans or large windows, etc. allowing listeners to experience an otherwise unheard-of level of sound quality that won’t affect your room’s aesthetic.
